Thought we’d share a few photos of the garden as the seasons seem to be running away from us. So much is blooming, and with these balmy sunny days there’s a lot to see and soak up at this time of the year.
There’s so many red valerian, aquilegia and gladiolus byzantinus with any gaps filled by wild plants aka weeds, all providing a feast for wildlife. Great to see peonies, sweet peas and roses basking in this glorious sun.
Most of the grass is left to grow long here. Lovely to see buttercups, clover, meadow grass and oxeye daisies peppered through the grass. We’ll soon see pyramidal orchids.
The tomatoes were planted in the greenhouse last week along with marigolds and nasturtiums. When we get some time cosmos, clary sage and all new dahlias will be planted out in the borders. We have a holding bay of plants outside the greenhouse - all waiting to be planted in their new homes.
It’s been a manic week here so very much looking forward to this long weekend in the sun! Enjoy yours and feel free to share photos of your green spaces!
